    Ringworm are great

    Daniel Gottliebson (verified owner)

Hi there just wanted to take a moment to let anyone know that I recently purchased a set of ringworms for my tarp.

I used to use a small hook and toggles that were attached to a steak that would hook onto shock cord.

After trying these ringworms I can’t believe how much more secure and how easy they are to use.

I went threw a rain storm with about 20 mile bursts an they not only stayed tightly fastened, but secured even more.

When I broke down all I had to do was a simple tug down in the opposite direction.
It makes tightening your tarp as easy as 1 2 3 I highly recommend them.

    Pole Mod

    bobbuhler (verified owner)

This is a great piece of hardware. I’ve discovered that the ferrel of a .344 pole will fit nicely into the ring of the Ringworm
    without sliding down the pole.
Great for exterior pole mods or going into porch mode and still have your line lock ability.

    Question

I should have posted a picture with my last question about an upside down setup. This is what I mean. It seems to hold just as well as anything else I have used.

These are fabulous and make tarp setup a breeze! They even held things tight in 12 hours of wind and rain during the remnants of a tropical storm.

By far my favorite hardware for my tarp guylines

    Tyrell Wall (verified owner)

I’ve used a variety of different hardware for my tarp guylines over the years. They all have pros and cons. Line Loks haven’t been strong enough for me in a few situations, Tarpworms used to be my favorite but they require a bit of dexterity and that becomes a problem with cold hands. This is the first hardware I’ve found that I can’t think of any cons, it just works amazingly well for me. I Have multiple tarps and plan on replacing existing hardware an all others to this.

Perhaps the fit for purpose piece of kit I've ever used

    Erik Christiansson

It’s a simple thing, doing a rather simple job, but it does it amazingly well! Both setting up and breaking down my tarp is made a whole lot easier with this. I can’t think of anything, any category, that I’ve ever used that does it’s job as well as this.

    Question

Do the Ringwormz work upside down as well? Can you attach the large hole to the shock cord and then bring the line up through the hook and around the cleat?

They work upside down. The large hole, the ring, is designed as a spot to hold onto, not for holding rope and shock cord.

1.75mm Zing-it or Lash-it works great. 2.2mm Zing-it or Lash-it may work, but it is a very tight fit.
