With the moonlight section fully open, does condensation still build up in the hammock?

This could depend on many things and how humid the air is and how you sleep. If you are concerned about condensation you can use the moonlight portion as a breatalizer to help kick your air back out of the hammock reducing the amount of condensation.

As a last minute purchase leading up to a colder than expected scouting trip this week I purchased the top cover for my Chameleon hammock. The team at Dutchware quickly turned around my order and shipped the same day it was placed.

The top cover itself fits excellently on my hammock and I look forward to the ability to extend my hammock season.

    Does it's job well

This cover is super nice. It has done an excellent job at keeping out the bugs while I relax in the hammock. It is perfect for cool nights where you want to keep in that extra bit of warmth. Definitely is not recommended for use in the heat, as this sucker warms up quick. Obviously that’s not what this is made for, but just a note if you want to be dumb like me. As far as durability, this is surprisingly tough to be such thin material. On the first overnighter with this I zipped up the material in the zipper and had to pull to get it unstuck. I thought for sure I would rip it. To my surprise. the material was not even marred! It looked good as new. This is another great product from a great company.

Is the bugnet just as good as the winter top cover as far as insulation?

No the bugnet will allow a lot more air to go through however the top cover is wind resistant and helps to trap some of the heat inside of your hammock.

    Inny or outy

    crupert

Help me out here – with the Moonlight top cover – is the shiny side of the fabric supposes to go on the outside or inside. Another way to ask it – should the Moonlight cover be inside or outside of the bug cover? I think it makes the most sense to be on the inside so I can open and close it – but not 100% sure.
    Thanks

You should have your moonlight on your hammock that you can utilize the zippers from inside your hammock and this will allow you to control how much you vent your moonlight. So the bugnet should be on the outside and the moonlight on the inside.

  11. Question

    gen.spends

Are the top cover and moonlight intended to be used with or with out the bugnet?
It looks like you can you one or the other, not both at the same time. Is that correct?

Correct, you can use either the bugnet or the top cover with the Chameleon. You cannot use both at the same time.
