What you would do is put your line through the top and bottom hole so it comes out of the snow in a V and then take that and attach it to your tarp.

Snow camped in Mammoth Mountain. 4 Flukes secured tent well, and didn’t move at all once buried. Used 2 mm PMI accessory cord to connect harness that pulls fluke deeper in snow as guy line tension increased.

I brought four of these to Baja this spring and bought four more on my return. They held better than using sticks as deadman anchors at the same depth. I have loops tied into the ends of my guy lines, and I was able to thread the loop through one of the larger holes, back through one on the other side, then over the entire anchor to hitch them. Very loose, dry sand required a depth of around one foot. I used each anchor to dig the hole it would go in. They also worked really well for digging catholes.

I use 8 of these for winter camping in deep snow. Not cheap, but certainly not unreasonable, and they’re my favorite snow fluke by far. Using ~2mm dyneema line for leads/cable makes an overall very strong but very light anchor, limited only by the holding power of the snow it’s in.
2 nice things about the titanium beyond being light/strong; 1) Snow/Ice doesn’t wet it (unlike aluminum or steel), so it comes out of the ground effectively ice/snow free. 2) Higher surface hardness than aluminum; despite being dug out with an ice ax many times, my stakes are still in great shape.
