Double Hammock Whoopie Hook Complete Suspension

From: $37.80

These are like the whoopie hooks that have been used for years with one twist. They have an extra hole to recieve a spreader bar.  This way you can turn two single hammocks into a double hammock, yet they are totally functional when used apart.  This saves you the trouble of switching out your suspension between trips.

Description

These are like the whoopie hooks that have been used for years with one twist. They have an extra hole to receive a spreader bar.  This way you can turn two single hammocks into a double hammock, yet they are totally functional when used apart.  This saves you the trouble of switching out your suspension between trips.  They receive a standard spreader bar at he head end keeping the hammockers apart yet together and under the same tarp.  You can hang from the same two trees and feel close to the one who smells better than you.  I recommend they are used on the head end and you use a 32″ spreader bar.  You will have to hang the hammock slightly higher than usual.  When one person gets out the other will drop a bit.  Also you will feel the other person move around but not too much because each hammock has it’s own suspension.
Consider a 2 person hammock instead of combining your single hammocks

    Question

    Christian Mundt

This doesn’t feel particularly clear on what is included or needed to set up a double hammock rig. Is it supposed to be all for the head side? And you need an existing suspension for the other ends? Or is it a full setup for both hammocks? What is the difference between the spreader bars?

you could and then just connect your continuous loop directly to the beetle buckle. I would just make sure that your straps are long enough and I would recommend at least 8′ straps.

The suspension will be geared to hang one hammock however the items will vary depending on your need and what you decide to purchase.

Does this complete suspension come with 2x double whoopie hook (one at each end) or is it 1x Double whoopie hook and 1x regular whoopie hook?

  5. Question

When added to cart, it shows Double Whoopie Hooks (pair). This could theoretically be used to add two head ends end bar to an existing system.

I am still confused with the answers above.

If I have two chameleons with single whoopie slings, what is the setup needed?

    Thanks

If you already have a complete suspension for both hammocks, you will just want to swap the head end Single Whoopie Hook Sling on each hammock with a Double Hammock Whoopie Hook Sling. Essentially you need the Double Hammock Whoopie Hook on the head end of each hammock in order to fit the Spreader Bar into the extra hole. Long story short, it sounds like you need 2 X Double Whoopie Hook Slings:
