It is made from ARGON 90 and Nanoseeum so it is breathable but has a quality DWR for quilt protection. I have 11 foot and 10 foot versions. It is designed to work with a hammock with a ridgeline. Tapered on one end and drawstring on the other. The Winter Sock has a panel of nanoseeum above your head and can be turned to vary the amount of venting. This comes with a mesh stuff sack. Comes in black and of course it is made in the USA.

…had issues with the zipper snagging. I’d gladly pay more for it with YKK zippers. Otherwise the Argon performed well giving added warmth in 35F to 45F temps. And with no noticeable condensation except when I draped a tarp over it on a rainy day.

I got this because i realized the blizzard survival bags i had been using were slowly disintegrating into minute glitter flakes which in addition to making my clothes sparkle i was no doubt inhaling. This sock is an improvement. No condensation, and i rigged a cheap under quilt from a costco-style down blanket. Only drawback I’ve noticed: the zipper is oddly wavy so opening and closing it is not as smooth as i think it should be. What i mean is the zipper is not flat as if it was not pulled flat while sewing it and so it must undulate to fit into the space it was sewed into. If i didn’t need to use this every night perhaps I’d attempt to get a flatter and smoother zippered one.
