    Slide Lock Success

I was wanting to keep using my 1.25mm line that I currently use, but wanted quick adjustments for my guy line setup. I was concerned about LineLoc 3’s slipping with the 1.25mm line, and Dutch responded extremely quick to my e-mail questions and highly recommended the slide lock over the LineLoc3. Dutch was spot on. I rigged up my Slide Lock with a 3″ Reflect-It Continuous loop that I made (With splicing tool Dutch sells) and put the 1.25mm line in. Tested in the backyard and this weekend on an overnight hike with my Dyneema Tarp. The Slide Lock functioned perfectly, it was easy and quick to adjust, and did not slip at all during the night. As always, very impressed with the customer support, quick shipping, and amazing products that make my hammock experience more enjoyable. Thanks Dutch!

  2. Question

    Rory Lee

Will the added thickness of .007″ of the 1/8″ shock cord still fit through the 3 mm cylindrical channel (non-adjustable hole) (that is built into the slide lock with any tolerance remaining or is it pretty much a press fit (using 1/8″ shock card).

  3. Question

Are slide locks strong enough to be used as a tarp ridgeline tensioner ?

They are good for tie outs but not for a ridgeline.

I love these! I attach them to the tarp tie-out points with 1/8″ shock cord in a loop. Then all of my line adjustments can be done from under the tarp, if necessary. Quick, easy, no knots needed. I haven’t had any failures yet.

  5. BRETT LEWIS

Works with smaller, lighter lines than the Lineloc 3

I’m using these with 1.8mm Dyneema, they are reliable, I need more time to see if they are durable as there is a moving part. The working part pulls the slide to clamp down on the standing part. I connect these to loops using cord or 1/8″ shock cord.
