Single Sided Tape with Dyneema® Composite Fabric (by the yard)
$2.14 – $4.28
This tape is made with adhesive stuck to thin Dyneema® Composite Fabric as the backing material. It has a brown paper layer that peels away leaving clear adhesive stuck to a DCF strip. Just peel off the paper and press it smooth. No heat required. The adhesive will stick to many materials and is a good all-purpose repair tape for most of your gear. It will not stick to Silicone fabrics, or rough texture fabrics like the exterior most backpacks. Put it on the smooth interior of backpacks, rain gear, etc.
It is sold by the yard and will be cut in 1 continuous piece up to 15 yards. Overlap the ends of the sections for longer length seams.
Color: CT1E.08(OD2) – Olive Drab, CT1E.08 – White, CT1E.08/C21K.18 – Camo

Question
Marshal Kline –
What’s the difference between this and the CT-PSA tape that you sell by the foot? Is one better/worse for creating a tarp seam? Patching a hole? Waterproofing a bag? I’m asking in reference to use on DCF, but would any of the answers be different if applied to some other fabric?
Thank you

jackiespanielchapin –
Will your single sided tape with Dyneema composite work to seal a stitched seam on a polyurethane coated sil-poly fabric?
If not, can you please recommend a seam seal tape that will permanently bond to this fabric?

Dave Gantz –
Our Dyneema tape will not work with Sil-poly fabric. We do not have seam seal tape for Sil-poly, we have patches and seam sealant, but no tape:

dutch ware gear is top notch and they care about their customers. Ive purchased this single sided DCF tape twice already because I keep under estimating how many seams I actually have to tape, so I’m about to be making my third order and I now know – what ever I think I need – double it.

Question
jamesshaughnessy –
Hi,
If joining sections of Dyneema to sections of Helion (with seams sewn also)… Will this tape adhere to the Helion fabric (as it does to the Dyneema) – well-enough to act as waterproof seamtape over the sewn seam?
And if so, will it adhere to better one side of the Helion, or equally well (front or back)?
Thanks in advance.

Dave Gantz –
The tape will stick to Helion, but it will peel away after time and will need to be replaced. It does not adhere permanently.

I love this seam tape. It’s the perfect finishing touch for any project using Dyneema composite fabrics or anything that you need waterproofed that will receive a PSA tape.
Dutchware Gear’s tape is superior to other retailers, for me, because of two reasons. First, they sell in a continuous roll instead of selling by individually cut yards. Second, the backing in this seam tape is stiffer than others which makes it easier to remove the tape from its backing when applying to a project.
I first used this tape for a homemade tent and it was very nice to be able to pull a continuous strand of tape across several yards of fabric without having to overlap several shorter sections of tape.
