    Great Product

Excellent for adding secondary suspension to an under quilt or for tie outs on a tarp.

Does not hold 1.8 mm Reflect-It

For the past couple of days, I’ve been testing different hardware with my tarp. I can confirm, that in light afternoon winds, all 4 Line Loc 3’s slipped. Despite the advertised support of 1.5 to 2.5 mm lines, these line locs could not hold 1.8 mm Reflect-It.

    Love These

I bought a few as backup for the exact same thing on my tent, Six Moon Deschutes Tarp Tent. The lock basically holds most of the stress on the tent. The tarp tent is designed around a single trekking pole and the front line pulls the pole forward, supplying tension to the rest of the fabric and tie-outs. It has to be tight, and the lock has never slipped a single mm as far as I can tell. I tested these new ones in particular an 1.5 and 2.1 mm tarred bank line and on the same line on my tent. I couldn’t get them to slip the least bit. “Lock” is the correct term. Going to order a bunch more.

I have a pack with 1/2″ grosgrain loops already sewn in. Do you think I would compromise the strength of the lineloc too much if I took a dremel cutoff wheel and cut a small slit in the center of the grosgrain attachment portion to allow me to feed the grosgrain loop onto the Lineloc? They will be used with 3mm cordage to lash items to the bottom of my pack (up to a 3.5lb packraft in terms of maximum load).

With a low weight on them, i would think it would be ok but i can’t promise that. Best way to know for sure is to test it out.
