I am not sure of the size of your tent pole so its hard to say. These tips are meant for out .748 pole and I will definitely tell you that tent poles are normally smaller in diameter compared to spreader bar poles.
I’ve made several tarp poles using this .748 pole tip and sections of pipe from Home Depot (Charlotte Pipe 3/4 in. x 10 ft. CPVC SDR11 Flowguard Gold Pipe). This pipe is much less flexible than standard PVC pipe but it will give a little under load, which I see as a benefit and not a problem.
