You will never have to search for the perfect stick again as the PCT Bear Bag Toggle can be stored with your bear bag at all times. You will be able to cinch down your line where needed and it is very easy to use and to adjust. Made of aluminum the PCT Bear Bag Toggle weighs in at 2.2 grams, so you won’t even know it’s in your pack. We have also tied a piece of rope to one end making it easier to spot.
There is an option to purchase the toggle with a Bear Bag Throw Line. The Bear Bag Throw Line comes with 50-feet of grey Lash-It!™ and its very own orange stuff sack made out of Sil Nylon. One end of the grey Lash-It!™ has a Brummel lock spliced loop in which we have attached a mini carabiner. The other end is fastened into the stuff sack with a mini cord lock attached, enabling you to cinch everything together neatly for storing in your pack.

This toggle works best with rope under 2.0mm in diameter. It is specifically made to work with 1.75mm Lash-it™.

The toggle is great, makes using the PCT method easy, but the bag is extremely delicate and the cord is so thin it constantly tangles and burns your hands when raising and lowering the bag. I used this for two nights and the bag is already full of holes. I spent 10+ minutes both nights untangling the cord, regardless of how I wrapped it up the day before. I wouldn’t recommend this for a thru hike. Good idea but poor execution. Giving three stars just for the toggle.
