I recently received one of these with a hammock order and the first thing I did was replace the red Zing-It at one end with yellow to make the head and foot end easily distinguishable without opening the stuff sack. I think that having a different color cord at each end is very convenient, thought I’d share .

Question
Eric Rakers –
Would an 11 ft Cloud 71 Netless with 3/4 underquilt (20 degrees) fit in the Double Double sized stuffsack together? I was looking at using this as a quasi hammock/underquilt sleeve so I wouldn’t have to take my underquilt off my hammock each time I setup.

Dave Gantz –
It may work if your underquilt compresses and packs down really well.

I estimate 13 liters capacity. Holds a DoubleNest, straps and such.

This is a well made stuff sack, my only grip is that both of the ends have red line. Makes it easy to remember which end is head end and which is foot end when different color lines on each end of the sack. Only thing I’ve done is attach a piece of yellow chord to one line to help me quickly distinguish which end is which.

Gregory Tervola –
What size double end stuff sack would I need for the Wide Winter Tarp with Tarp Sleeve?

Dave Gantz –
The tarp will fit in a regular sized Double Ended Stuff Sack. Go for the 1 1/2 Double Ended Stuff Sack if you want to include a ridgeline, guylines, and other items.

I had been storing my bugnet in a snakeskin when it wasn’t needed. Both it and the snakeskin could be left on the ridgeline until needed again since both were double-ended. However, the stuffed snakeskin took up too much length on the ridgeline so I swapped it out for this double-ended stuff sack, which works nicely.

If you get a force from the tightening, the sewing will burst. The tightening part needs reinforcement. Not only the sewing is done, but the fabric is also damaged. Maybe the strength of the fabric is also a problem.

Outstanding!I bought this stuff sack to house my ENO Doublenest hammock and ENO Guardian bug net together. With the hammock inside the bug net, I was able to cram both into this stuff sack. I also have the ENO Atlas straps rolled up and stuffed into each end. I’m really pushing the limits of the stuff sack with all of this, but it seems to be working perfectly. The quality looks great and I didn’t see any signs of weakness as I pushed hard against the fabric and seams getting everything inside. I love that everything I need for a hang fits into this stuff sack and that i can store the straps outside if they are wet. Great job making a simple, effective product.

If the TARDIS were a stuff sack…I ordered three of these, along with some Amsteel loops.
When the package arrived, it felt impossibly light. “Dang,” I thought to myself, “Dutch remembered the loops but forgot the sacks.” But when I opened it, there they were, folded—impossibly small—into mini zip bags. “Dang,” I thought, “these will never be big enough.” But as I pulled one out, it expanded miraculously into a sack possibly big enough for my hammock, but surely nothing else. “Dang,” I thought, “I might get the hammock in there, and probably the carabiners, but definitely not the tree straps.” But after I easily stuffed in my hammock, there was more space remaining than I could get my head around. “Dang,” I thought, “maybe Dutch really does know what he’s doing.” In went the carabiners. In went the tree straps. The cord locks cinched down smoothly. “Dang,” I thought, awed. The sack reclined plumply—and a tad smugly, it seemed to me—on the table, daring me to further insult its perfection. “Dang, Dutch” I thought. “You’re a bona fide wizard.”
I’m off to order my fourth.

What size just fits a double nest with bug net and straps? And which has room to spare so it’s flexible in the pack? Looking for both options.

Dave Gantz –
The regular size will work, but the 1 1/2 will give you even more room.

I got the regular double ended stuff sack. It fits my budget hammock perfectly. 10’4″ x 6’5″ hammock I bought off amazon. I wanted a double ended stuff sack so my hammock doesnt get dirty and to keep the straps outside of the sack. The sack weighs nothing and I am glad I bought it. Makes hanging my hammock fast and easy.

Would a Hennessy Explorer fit in this bag without the tarp. (if continuous loops are on the hammock), or none of the rope is in the bag if it still had the rope ends (ie rope possibly wrapped around the outside of the bag?

It should fit if it is just the hammock. If it does not work for you then you would be able to return it.

Would your netless hammock and summer sock fit in this together? I don’t know the dimensions of the sack that came with the hammock. If not, would it be possible to order a custom double ended sack that would hold both?

I do believe that you will be able to fit the 1.0 or the 1.6 fabric hammock with the sock in the double ended stuff sack.

Matt Hayes –
Assuming this is the same stuff sack that comes with the 11′ Wide Netless Hammock. Is it big enough to fit your 11′ Rectangle Tarp as well (both in the same stuff sack)? If not, what stuff sack would you recommend?
(0) (0) Watch Unwatch
Carolyn (verified owner) –
It will not fit both of them in the same stuff sack and yes it is the same stuff sack that came with your hammock. I would recommend to store them separately. (the large dyneema stuff sack may be the only stuff sack we carry to house both items)

The double ended stuff sack would not fit that. I’d recommend taking a look at our large Anaconda!
