GoodI attach this to all my stakes and use a hookworm to attach lash it loops on my tarp. It’s softer and I’m not sure it will tolerate rough use like zing it/lash it. Time will tell.

    Question

    Jay Rees

My tarp has line locks insralled. Will the 1.8 reflect it lock, or should I go up to the 2.2?

    Refect It Use so far

    Rory Lee (verified owner)

Used with Nama Claw and the claw slipped and roughened up the surface of the Reflect It, quite a bit. Also tried various Prusiks with multiple wraps and the only one that has promise is the Zing It Prusik on Reflect It Ridgeline.

Seems to tie well although knoting may weaken the line (splicing would be better for more strength). I used a wetted fishman’s knot on a Dutch Hook and it seems to be holding ok so far after several setups.

I do not recommend a Nama Claw with this cord weave and enourage further testing with Zing-it as a Prusiks knot if using a Prusiks not. I have since gone with a fixed end/adjustable end continuous ridgeline woven through the tarp Beastie D’s prior to deployment on trees.

The reflective material was a great idea for this traditonal base core material.

I bought this for my tarp guy lines.

I bought this for my tarp guy lines. Love It! Very reflective from a flashlight, thin and lightweight. Plan to buy more just to have extra. I bought orange so I could see the lines during the day.

    GREAT STUFF

I ATTACH 6FT OF THIS TO MY STAKES AND THEN RUN IT TO THE FLEAZ/S ATTACHED TO MY TRAPS. QUICK, FAST, EASY, HIGHLY VISIBLE DAY/NIGHT, IT’S A WIN WIN FOR A CLUTZ LIKE ME..

Good, but a few trade offs

Compared to Zing-It, its more tangle prone. Doesn’t seem as slick, softer than original Zing-It. But the reflective stripe is the primary feature for me. Splices easily.

    Great for tarp guylines

Love the different color options and the reflective stripe. Great guylines for my tarp.

I do not believe that the Nite Ize cord is a braided rope and our reflect it is. Also I do not know what material the nite ize is made out of.

    Durable and reflective

    mike5 (verified owner)

I used to use zing it for my guy lines but my kids kept tripping on them at night and if I’m being honest- so did I. So I wanted something lightweight and durable and reflective. This is perfect. I found 25ft was a perfect length for 4 tie outs if you cut in half and in half again.

Refelct-it is spliceable, although more difficult to work with than Zing-it. Reflect-it works with Ringworms and most of our other tarp hardware.

You can try, but this rope is difficult to splice.
