Dyneema® Composite Fabrics offer several unmatched benefits, making them your best choice for camping and backpacking gear:
- Lightweight feel: This fabric is 30 percent lighter than nylon and polyester, which are common fibers for outdoor use. Seasoned backpackers know that light gear is essential to any long trek, making DCF a great choice.
- Strong fibers: DCF is 15 times stronger than steel according to its weight per weight ratio. It is also low stretch to reduce sagging.
- Durable construction: For gear that needs to endure unpredictable conditions, durability is vital. Dyneema® Composite Fabrics are UV and water-resistant, and they withstand tears and abrasion.

Hey, could you please tell me what’s the thickness of this fabric? and if the surface is glossy or rough?
Thanks

Dave Gantz –
This is a composite fabric, so the surface is rather rough. It does look glossy, but is so thin that it is transparent.

Remarkable fabric. I used it for everything on my tarp – patches, tie-outs. You can layer it – make the fibers go multiple directions. Used tape only and this works well for the forces on a tarp.

Over the years I’ve purchased a number of products from Dutchware. He never disappoints, always on time and items as described. He’s also a great resource!
