I’ve only done limited field testing, but all signs point to greatness. I’ve got a week in the bwca coming and will edit this if I find any catastrophic issues.. but everything seems awesome. My set up time is down to like..1 or 2 minutes? Gear sling + anaconda bag + zip on UQ.. unbeatable!

Well made, lightweight, easy to use. I love the convenience keeping my under quilt attached and top quilt inside when packing. Use the large size for lofted UQ and TQ. I fit my 30° UQ and 40° TQ inside and had just enough room to easily stuff the compression sack. Highly recommend.

An absolute must have addition to your Chameleon hammock set-up. Just bought one a couple weeks ago and took it with me for a section of the Appalachian Trail. Setting up and tearing down was such a breeze not having to detach my under quilt and my top quilt I simply stuffed into my sidecar-sleeve. And everything stuffed right into the bag together. I also love that the sack just hangs on the suspension no getting lost misplaced or blown off by a strong wind. It even has a nice pocket on the lid to store your treestraps.

Dutch, you should totally market to the disabled campers out there – here’s my story: There are a dozen excellent reasons why someone would love this thing – here’s mine. I have several disabilities, but the big one here is hand strength and dexterity. Consider how many steps you take to set up your hammock, your tarp, your UQ and your UQP – that’s a lot of fiddly and/or strength use of your hands, right? For someone like me, that makes setting up camp frustrating and exhausting. The ability to go: 1) connect tree strap; 2) connect second tree strap; 3) woooosh hammock, quilt, under quilt, and UQP in one swoop!! – and have my hammock entirely constructed without any fine motor control use of my hands? THAT IS PURE GOLD, PEOPLE. Think of all the older hammockers who have arthritis in their hands or old shoulder injuries or who simply arrive at camp ready to drop (no matter how much they’ve loved the hike 🙂 ) – the Anaconda can improve their backpacking experience *tremendously*.
Wishing everyone an excellent next hike & hang!

Love this sleeve for gobbling up my gear so I can be on my way! The quality is such that is rarely found. Now that I’ve seen the Cloud 71 material, I am going to need a hammock made of it. ?
Thanks again Dutch and Co.

Used the Anaconda first time on a cold snowy night, it was great not having to hang and adjust underquilt with my frozen fingers!! Little tight stuffing chameleon with 20 degree quilts back into bag, but doable. Thanks Dutch!

I do wish they had an Extra Large option, if they ever make one I’d definitely immediately buy it.
That being said, I’ve been hammock camping for almost 10 years now and I’m not exaggerating when I say this is possibly the most time and space saving purchase I’ve ever made for my setup. The inner net helps keep my hammock safe when packing it up over rough rocks or pine needles, and the compression sack gets my winter/altitude setup to the same size as my bear canister – which considering everything I fit in there is impressive, even if it is a bit tight.
In the anaconda I’ve managed to fit my entire winter/high altitude setup, final packed photo attached, including:
-1 Warbonnet XLC with bug net attached
-1 JRB 0°F Mt Washington 4, 850FP down with 25% overstuff
-1 JRB 20° Hudson River Ultralight Quilt Regular Size, 1000FP down
-1 Cocoon mummy liner COOLMAX
It’s a bit of a tighter fit with the winter/altitude setup (and a comfortable fit with a summer setup), but all in all it takes me at most 3-4 minutes to pack up my entire hammock system (not counting the tarp) and maybe 2 or so minutes at most to set up (once I’ve taken it out of my pack, of course). I just keep a pair of carabiners at the ends of my hammock loops so it’s easy to attach to my suspension without opening it and so the loops don’t slide through the anaconda. It also makes it so much easier when setting up on a windy day, I just get it strung up with the mesh still over the hammock while I set up my tarp (also using skins for that) and it makes it so I don’t have to deal with the wind catching it until I’ve got my nice little wind-proof area under my tarp.
Overall, I love it, I wish I’d had the anaconda for the past 9 years instead of just this 1, and I’d honestly rate it 6 stars if I could.

This makes handling & packing up a hammock w/ an underquilt so much nicer. It’s lightweight, quality, and nicely designed.

Excellent produit !
Entièrement satisfait, tant par la qualité que par le côté pratique. Un gain de temps très appréciable, au montage comme au démontage.
J’espère que la durabilité m’en séduira de même 😉
Merci ! ??

My hammock setup includes a Dream Hammock Darian, an Enlightened Equipment Revolt 20 degree under quilt, an Enlightened Equipment Enigma 0 degree top quilt for winter and an Enlightened Equipment Revelation 30 degree for summer. I bought the Anaconda knowing that it might be a tight fit for the winter setup. However, I did manage to get it all stuffed in the Anaconda. It was tough, but I made it. The summer setup was only slightly easier. Some thoughts and issues with the Anaconda. I wish the large was about 3 – 6 inches taller. That would help greatly with the bulkier winter gear. One downside is the straps. They did not hold when the sack was compressed real tight. Extreme compressed caused the straps to slip. I was able to get them to hold by tying a Becket Hitch (I think) behind the buckle while using my weight to keep the bag compressed. Overall, a great system. I am looking forward to using it on the trail. I’ll still give it 5 stars since I am pushing it beyond what it was designed for.

I had this out for a few hundred miles and to be honest, couldn’t imagine not using it on future hikes. The ease of set up and break down is incredible! Where it really shines is how different my pack carries. While using the anaconda for my quits and hammock, my pack actually feels lighter. This is because of how it distributes the weight on to the small of your back where it belongs. I’ve been a customer for a long time and one time on trail I experienced an issue, Dutch had my back and I will never forget that! Happy trails.. – The Professor
