I used this for the inside layer of my down underquilt.

I used this for the inside layer of my down underquilt. So far after a few dozen uses, and lots of packing down, it has yet to leak a feather (900 fp down also aquired from dutch). I’ve been very pleased with the product in every aspect (quality, durrability, water & wind resistance, compactability, and comfort).

    Heyyo
I plan on using this material for the upper part of a bivy
So wanted to ask if it’s possible to tape it, like DCF and so.

    Thanks 🙂

Some of the Argon 67 colour options have “(taffeta)” in the title. What does this mean, does it still have the ripstop weave? Cheers – Murdo

Taffeta is a smooth, silky, plain weave. It is generally used for the inside shell of quilts.

I have just finished my 2nd quilt with this material and it is fun to work with.

I have just finished my 2nd quilt with this material and it is fun to work with. It is soft and creamy. When I sleep in the quilt it is very comfortable and not at all sticky. I just love to work with it. I used the Argon 90 for the outside shell. Thought it would be sturdier.

Before I start sewing with this fabric, the shiny side is the inside or the wrong side when sewing and the dull or matte side is the outside or right side when sewing. Correct?

It is personal preference as to which side you want on the outside and on the inside. It will perform the same no matter which way it sewn.

I would definitely tell you that you will see the outline through the ARGON 67. However the ARGON 90 will be a much safer option when it comes to not being able to see through the fabric.

I used the black taffeta for the liner of my latest synthetic quilt.

I used the black taffeta for the liner of my latest synthetic quilt. It is amazing. So soft and comfortable, so light. It isn’t too flimsy that its hard to work with. When I build my next down quilt, I am definitely coming back for that black taffeta lining!

I wrongly thought I had found the softest lightest fabric some months ago, on another site.

I wrongly thought I had found the softest lightest fabric some months ago, on another site.
Some weeks ago, I came across an excellent post regarding this Argon and decided to give it a go.
The softness and lightness are beyond compare. It took my breath away “THIS IS THE REAL BLING”
I sleep in a hammock every night and have done so since throwing the beds out some years ago.. For me The best sleeping system ever to come to this world
It may not look as pleasant as a well made bed but that is only to sight. A restful sleep, is I think what we all need and this beats the heck out of any bed
I see now why the owner terms this section DIY Heaven !
It goes well with the Argon 90 as an outer for quilts
The shipping is faster than Iffter the Shifter. Less than a week to the UK.
    Many thanks for supping
