Description

The Z-Liner 270 insulation kit fits all NX-270 and TX-270 models and all “ULTRA” 2-person models (VX Ultra and Vertex which each use two Z-Liners). It fits all NX-250 models ordered after March 2014.  It also fits all TX-250 models.  It will not fit any NX-250 model made before March 2014.

Clark’s Z-Liner 270 provides one large insulating under quilt that connects with VELCRO® Brand Hook and Loop to the underside of the hammock bed. The Z-Liner comes with one stuff sack.

A typical camper using a high-quality sleeping bag can sleep in these models down to approximately 40° F or 10° F.  This assumes you are using a sleeping bag that is meant for the temperatures you are sleeping in.

The Z-Liner is made from quality CLIMASHIELD APEX 3.6 or 6.0 insulation. Engineered for maximum loft per unit weight, CLIMASHIELD APEX is the perfect choice when you demand performance driven comfort that delivers superior thermal efficiency, resilient loft and durability. We believe this synthetic insulation is the ideal choice for a camping hammock since it is placed in an area that can potentially get wet from rain blowing under the tarp or splashing from the ground in torrential rain. Synthetic insulation continues to work well in these conditions.

Will you be offering these in Camo sometime in the near future? I had an old one from Clark that is now beyond repair.

Will the Z-liner insulation ever be available ?

    kaffedrikker

The Z-liner is pretty important on a Clark, because it is so integrated in the hammock. Mine is on all year, and has been for many years. It could be nice if it could be bought again.

    Question

    Jason Gorton

So we’re creeping up on almost a solid year that you fantastic folks were saying that the z-liner would be made available. Any idea when that might actually happen?

    Finally complete

    mfschmit3 (verified owner)

I saved and bought a TX 270 from Clark a few years back with the intention of buying the z liner later. With the sale of Clark to Dutchware I patiently (?) waited for them to be available.
I received an email that the z liner was available 4/8/22 and ordered it immediately. It was made, shipped from PA to MN and installed on my TX 270 4/15/22. Fit and finish is perfect, I am in it now in my backwoods warm and toasty at 22degres f. writing this. I have other UQ’s but none really fit. this is made for the Clark. It’s staying on.
Thank you so much for completing my sleeping system, and as always first class customers service.

  8. cgroseclose

    High quality Clark Under Quilt.

    cgroseclose (verified owner)

I have a Vertex 2 person hammock and I just bought my second under quilt for the system. You don’t have to have one (or two) of these for your Clark 2Person, but they make life a lot easier and are custom built to fit. They are very high quality and what you would expect from a Clark product. I spoke to the CS rep on my order and these are made on-demand in Dutch’s place in PA and it fits perfectly. Great product, great quality, I purchased the 10-degree version and it’s fantastic!! I know Dutch purchased Clark several years ago and DutchWare has done an excellent job of maintaining and improving on the Clark line. It’s a fantastic hammock system!!!

Don't know why I waited so long

    mdurling580 (verified owner)

After struggling with traditional underquilts and never achieving a good result I finally pulled the trigger on the Z liner for my 270X, it’s a game changer. The only con is it restricts the access to the external storage pockets at the foot end of the hammock. Not a deal breaker as I typically only stowed the stuff sacks for other gear there anyway.
