Description

No one wants to sleep in a puddle. But if you own a silnylon tarp, you could end up in one—if you don’t treat the seams first. That’s because ultralight silnylon tarps aren’t typically sealed at the vendor.

Will this work with the sil poly material that some companies are switching to?

5 out of 5 Worked well on xenon sil .9

I used this on my xenon sil .9 kit. I sat under it for an hour ina rain storm to read a book. Using the included brush to apply it will make uneven and goopy lines. I later discovered that using a flat edge like a popsicle stick to smear the drops, will make it smooth and flat . The edges still might be crooked but the surface will be completely smooth and it will use much less product. I used almost a full tube to seal a winter tarp with the brush. I would have used a lot less if I had used the wooden stick to spread it out. YMMV of course. I would suggest ensuring enough product gets in the seam then spreading and thinning it with the stick.
