Awesome product! I’ve ordered 2 sets. 1 to replace the heavy rope on my cheap hammock and another set for the tablecloth I have on order. I also wanted the get my hands on some before I toy with trying to make my own

Lightweight and well madeThese continuous loops are a great alternative to heavier ropes. As others have done, you can replace the ropes in your ENO or other hammock and save a lot of weight. They’re lightweight but very strong. You could make your own, but leave it to Dutch to make a quality product you can be confident in! I ordered mine to color coordinate a two-hammock setup. Great customer service, too. Thanks Dutch!!

When I got my continuous loops, I installed them the exact same way the rope was installed. That put a knot about half way up the loop. Did I compromise the strength of the loop by installing it that way?

I have a Hennessy Expedition Asym and want to change my suspension. What size continuous loops should I order? What other than Whopie slings would you recommend for suspension?

Please check out this video to determine if you need the 15″ loop or the 8″ loop:

The Whoopie hook suspension is great and easy to use.

Hi there,
Could you please tell me what size loop and diameter I need for my Grand Trunk Double?
Thanks

For a continuous loop for your hammock you would be fine with the 7/64 and the 8″ loop. Unless you need the larger 1/8 diameter weight reinforcement.

Question

2-part question, I’m sorry:
– Am I correct that the loop size the finished, folded, flattened loop length?
– Am I correct that the weight limit listed is not the breaking strength (like was listed for the Amsteel whoopie slings), but rather a fraction (probably 1/5) of the breaking strength for safety, right?
Thank you in advance for your help and time taken to answer my question!

Are these made with locking Brummell splices?

The continuous loops are completed with locked Brummels and buried ends. Since they are locked, they are not adjustable. – Gwendolyn

I needed 2 and ordered 2 and they are great quality! But that was before I realized for the same price I could have made 20 of them. These two are on the ends of my new hammock.

I’ve purchased two sets, one for a ENO Doublenest and one for a GrandTrunk Nano. Saves weight, packs much smaller now and I can easily link up with my whoopie slings + hooks.

Amazing space saver
My hammock came with 1″ nylon webbing to connect the hammock to the suspension, and I swapped that out for the loops above, and now I can fit my whoopie slings in the pouch with my hammock, which is pretty nice being able to keep them together in one unit.

What Amsteel Size & Loop Size should be used with the Chameleon Hammock?

Loop size is 8 inches for most hammocks and amsteel size depends on your weight but most people use 7/64.

Replaced the original suspension on my Hennessey Leaf with an 8 inch continuous loop to a Dutch biner then connected to a whoopie sling. The weight and space that I saved was a huge difference. Definitely worth the small price. I will be converting all my hammocks very soon.

I love mine.
I love mine. One tip for Hennessy users: the newest style Hennessy has a small webbing loop/strap at the end. The older ones have holes for the suspension. If you have the new/webbing style, I suggest the shorter amsteel loop, as it works fine and allows a shorter hang distance between trees. I can’t comment on which length works better for the older style.

I purchased the 7/64 8″ loops to replace the nylon rope that came stock in a hammock I bought from Aldi a couple of years ago. Dutch’s suspension installation video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J8efnNIw33Y) was very helpful. The replacement took about three minutes and the loops were noticeably lighter than the original ropes. I ordered on Saturday and had my items in-hand by Wednesday. Great all-around experience.

Well what I can say is “Super fast shipping from Dutch” I’m using these as part of a suspension for my 18 year old double Mayan hammock. Even though I have fixed mounting position on the porch if I ever want to go to the park with the “Big Mamma Mayan” I do want to stay in the air.

What is the weight limit on the 7/64 loop vs the 1/8 loop? I am about 230 pounds so just curious.

DutchWare Gear (verified owner) –
The rule is about 1:5 ratio so the 7/64 will be 320lbs and the 1/8 will be 500lbs

Bought two of these to replace the nylon straps on the ends of my amazon bought hammock, they were easy to install. I just needed a phillips screwdriver to help guide them through the gathered end channels. These should make my hammock lighter. They look to be well made, have yet to test the hammock with the new continuous loops.
I plan to eventually replace the rest of the suspension as well.
