Advantages of Bonded Waterproof Camping Tarps
- No seam seal needed – This includes the ridgeline and Side Panel Pullouts.
- Doesn’t leak – This tarp can’t leak, making it the ultimate waterproof backpacking tarp!
- Bonded reinforced ridgeline doesn’t perforate the fabric – Stitch free construction! Because the reinforcement is bonded there is no perforation where stitches can pull. This makes the tarp stronger, more waterproof, and longer lasting than other hammock camping tarps.
- Repairable – Send your tarp back to us if needing repair.
- Side Panel Pullouts can be applied after the tarp is made – Side Panel Pullouts can be easily installed postproduction and placed anywhere on the tarp.
- Dries quicker – A bonded seam does not hold any moisture, so it dries faster than a grosgrain ridgeline.

The quality of the bonded tarp I received was incredible. I thoroughly looked over the ultralight bonded winter tarp with doors. I found no imperfections.
The ingenuity of a bonded silpoly tarp is fantastic. Dutch really outdid himself here. Great product. I am extremely impressed.

I am feeling very lucky and blessed to be leaving this review today.
As many know about hurricane Helene, and the impact it had on Tennessee. My brother and myself were caught in that hurricane along with 2 other friends. With our bags packed for 28 miles of backpacking and ready for a trip we thought we were expecting to be memorable! Plot twist it was but for different reasons than we all expected.
From washed out paths, to non stop rain for days, along with wind that would blow a bus over, we powered through with trust in our gear and a clear mental headspace. We all were carrying chameleon hammocks with underquilts (0-20 degree) mosquito net with spreader bar, and a zeon bonded tarp with spreader bars.
We were all proven right to trust the gear we had with us, as the trip ended with a rescue from the smoky mountain national park rangers due to mountain conditions.
I’m a firm believer in having the right gear for the job, along with being physically and mentally prepared for each trip you go on. Some may agree that the right gear is the most important for a successful trip with the ability to make it home safely, while also enjoying your trip without sacrificing comfortability.
The Xeon bonded tarp handled winds it wasn’t designed for and held up beautifully with no rips whatsoever, all Tie outs and spreader bars survived with no wear and tear ( tarp was set up following the instructions on dutchware’s how to video) the underquilt handled the temperature, winds, and moisture without any issues.
I strongly believe without the Xeon bonded tarp, 11ft chameleon hammock, paired with 20 degree underquilt, my brother and I would not be here. It gave us the ability to stay completely dry, warm, and comfortable in those extreme conditions.
Thank you dutchware for being a company that doesn’t cut corners on gear, while also maintaining a standard so high its what other companies try to replicate but fall short of.
Dutch you have mine and many others life long support for your company. Thank you for getting us home safely!

I purchased this tarp with the galactic print, its so so beautiful and silky and light! This is the first lightweight tarp I’ve ever owned and I’m simply blown away by both the featherlight weight and STUNNING print. The tie outs are super sturdy, this tarp is everything I could have dreamed of and more! Gives the reassurance of withstanding heavy storms without the bulky weight of typical tarps with doors, if you happen to be like me (fairly new to backpacking and unsure how to lighten your pack without breaking the bank and your back) THIS IS FOR YOU! The quality is beyond flawless, the customer service is quick to respond and so so pleasant to work with (thank you Melissa!) so if you’re on the fence and don’t want to sacrifice the security of doors for shaving a few oz from your loadout this is an incredibly PERFECT choice!
Okay okay, I’ll stop raving about how much I love this company and tarp. Moe signing off <3

Hey hey! You will want to make sure you select the option to add side panel pullouts. Then find the poles here, select double for the complete setup.

Pretty amazing quality. Love that there is no stitching anywhere on the ridgeline or side pullout. Don’t have to worry about leaks.

Question
cpcombine –
What is the difference between this and a regular rectangle tarp? I guess my question is what makes this one a winter tarp vs any of the other tarps on here?

Barb –
They are two different cuts altogether. The winter tarp cut allows for you to have “doors” on either end of the hammock for extra protection from the weather.

Question
Jeffrey Bower –
Would the 12′ version of this cover my Ridge Runner bridge? Could I get the doors closed with the bridge dog bones?

Dave Gantz –
Yes. Choose the ‘side panel pullout for bridge hammock’ option and pole mods to keep the tarp fabric away from the hammock spreader bars:

Question
Jose Espanol –
Are you able to offer these tarps in white? I’d rather not put out the extra money for a dyneema white tarp.

Alex Thomas –
Yes, we can do that for you no problem. Please purchase your tarp as normal and choose any color. At checkout, leave us a note stating you want it in white instead of the color chosen.
