Picked a few of these up to replace the zipper pulls on my chameleon and they rock! Pair them up with some high vis cordage and you’ll never have a problem finding your zippers again. They also glow VERY bright, especially if you shine them with a headlamp or flashlight before bed, and they will stay bright for hours. Really cool, especially on those extra dark nights when it’s completely overcast.
I thought the instructions image on this page was just a bit uninformative at first glance, so I put together a quick little guide that I will attach to this post.

Hi – To attach these as a zipper pull, I am just guessing here, do you tie a figure 8 knot or the like on each rope end, then stuff the rope ends into the latch part (after going through the black retainer section of course) and latch them? I was going to use them as GITD tabs on my keyrings; I can adapt them to that once I’m sure how to attach them – Thanks!

admin –
I just put a loop in the part itself and then larks hear it on the zipper tab. That way I can remove it if I want. You can also just make the loop directly through the pull as you install it on the part. Then you can’t remove it unless you take the part apart.

Nice looking custom accessory
These appear to be designed to be used with standard paracord. I found paracord to be tight, and kind of bulky. However, if you knot the ends and melt just the tips, Zing-it works great. Zing-it at 6 inches, then knotted on each end, is the length I larkshead onto standard zippers. They can be disassembled after install with a very small flathead screwdriver inserted into the slot from the glow-in-the-dark side.

Hi – Just bought of handful of these to try making a few different loops to be used on my backpack. Is there a way to un-clip them (take apart) if I want to use some different length cord. Or are then one-use?
Thanks.
Tom
