Question
ztforster –
What kind of guy out hardware is on these? I think adding some more images with close-up shots would be helpful.

The tarp will not come with ridgeline or guy line tie outs. You will be able to choose your own. Here is a link for our tie outs:

Question
Anne Stewart-Hill –
Do you have more photos of this tarp. I can’t tell anything about the time-outs from the stock photo. Is there a video of this tarp?

Carolyn –
There are 4 guy line tie outs and then 1 for each door which would give you a total of 8 tie outs.

Question
Rory Lee –
At 8.5 feet wide and claimed for winter use, how do you keep a cold wind from sucking the heat out of the underquilt? If you drop the tarp down so it blocks the wind from the UQ, it interfers with the hammock suspension and can impede the diagonal lay at the foot or head end of the hammock.

I’m curious as to why the 12′ tarp here is 300g when the same size tarp from HG is 7.87 oz (around 223 g). Is it the hardware attached?

It does not. You may want to order some tape to use for repairs: https://dutchwaregear.com/product/single-sided-dyneema-tape/

Question
mark-7613 –
How tall is it if setup just above or touching the ground?

Alex Thomas –
This would depend on the pitch of the tarp. But each panel is roughly 51 inches.

Question
graceshimee –
How much does the tarp + carry bag weight altogether?
(0) (0) Watch Unwatch
Alex Thomas –
The weight you see listed when you choose your options for the tarp is the full shipping weight of the product. This would include the stuff sack and any other options you have chosen.

Question
fantaalias –
Can one place the ridge line under the tarp in order to hang a separate mosquito net?
(0) (0) Watch Unwatch
Carolyn (verified owner) –
It is personal preference on how you hang your continuous ridgeline wether it is over or under your tarp. However if it is under it may rub or wear on the rope where as if it is over it will not.

Question
Shawn Horn –
is this the tarp you would recommend for the double dutch setup if you do a pole mod?
(0) (0) Watch Unwatch
Carolyn –
With the double set up the ridgeline length will be important and we recommend at least a 12′ ridgeline. I would recommend at least the hex tarp however the rectangle and the winter tarp will give you more coverage.

that was a misprint… there are 8 and that includes the doors.
I do not have any other pictures than what is shown.

Question
glenbecks71 –
Is there an option for the pole mods with this tarp, or is it only pull outs…Thanx

Dave Gantz –
We do not suggest Internal Pole Mods with DCF tarps. You can make an external pole mod setup with the Side Panel Pullouts, though.
