Great fabric, better priceI got this fabric at $5 a yard and made 3 x 12ft winter tarps with doors for my brothers and I to each have one. Here’s the special part. I spent a little more than $60 on 3 winter tarps. Think about that for a moment, realize this is wider than normal fabric, (and thus more tarp), and then buy this fabric!

There is just so much room and I don’t have to hunch over and crab walk to my hammock anymore. All thanks to the extra width this fabric has.

Fabric isn’t too difficult to work with (just take your time). This is lower stretch fabric and I skipped cat cuts. This made it very simple to just measure, mark and cut straight lines. Of course, your mileage may vary.

    Cost break down:

    – Fabric: (I bought two colors and have extra of each) = $145
    *20 Yd: $100
    *9 Yd: $45
    – 300D Pack Material (Half Yard): $4
    – 3/4 Inch Beastee Dee Rings: 30 (10 per tarp) = $7.50
    – Gutermann Thread: 2 x spools = $7.20
    – Mitten hooks (Single): 12 (4 per tarp on doors): $2.40
    – 3/32 Shock Cord (25 Feet): $4.25

    Not acquired from dutch:
    – 3/4 Inch Grosgrain 50yd spool on amazon = $10

    Total Price: $180.35 (~ $60.12 per tarp!!!)
