Description

This is a 1-inch UHMWPE and polypropylene mixed webbing which is what gives it the cool look. We’ve designed this webbing to be a lighter weight (5.5 grams per foot) alternative to regular polyester webbing but still work with buckles unlike Kevlar webbing. This is a great middle ground when it comes to webbings. The key features of this webbing are that it weighs less than polyester webbing, has very low stretch and it works perfect with cinch buckles, spiders, Dutch buckles, etc.

Tree straps have one 3.5-inch loop on one side and the other end is cut straight and melted.  They can be used for the marlin spike hitch, the Dutch Buckle and cinch buckles.

    Can these be trimmed easily?

Do they need to be sewn or singed after you trim them?

Do these get “ropey” and need flattening like UWHMPE straps? Or does the poly help prevent that?

    Awesome straps!

These feel so light after the cheap daisy chains that came with my first hammock and they take up less than half the space in the same stuff sack. I don’t even bother to roll them before I stuff them in.
I got these straps because I wanted to mess around with a marlin spike hitch for more adjustability and I didn’t want to tie one with a bulky strap. The spider 1.5s are a little pricey for me to basically try out a knot (and I’m not a backpacker, I’m a camper who likes to pack like a backpacker, making UL not worth the big price jump). The black and white pattern on these straps looks cool and the weight difference is already so different than what I had before, and because of those things I love these straps. They were well worth the price. Whether or not I like the marlin spike hitch remains to be seen! I do wish I had gotten the 15″ although I probably will never need anything that long.
