I purchase a set of WASPS to secure my tarp ridgeline and they work brilliantly well. They are an amazing little design that does their job better than any solution on the market in a small package that can’t be beaten. With that in mind I order 6 RING WORMS to secure the sides of the tarp as well. After installing them yesterday I’m at a loss as to why they are designed the way they are. They don’t work particularly well and count on threading a line through a hole that gets harder should the line get frayed. Then you’re trying to lock down the end of the line in the opposite direction of the line in a lock that doesn’t lock well. It’s impractical and product design miss in my opinion. Dutchware nailed the WASP design. I don’t see why they couldn’t use the line tightening/locking features of the WASP with the shock cord lock of RW? It would be a brilliant little design. Looks kind of like a SWAN to me…
