Description

Made from Dyneema fiber, this rope yields the highest strength, lightest weight, lowest stretch and longest wear life available.

The 1.75mm size works best with Dutchware hardware. The 2.2mm will work with most Dutchware hardware.

The proprietary urethane coating Samthane adds to the rope’s wear life, ensures the knot-holding capability of the rope, and gives the rope its distinctive color.

We now have multiple colors of zing it and grey Lash it. The only difference is the color. The 1.75 mm is the perfect compliment to the Flyz, Wasps, Stingerz, or Dutch Hooks.

These are 180 foot mini spools. Zing-It!™ and Lash-It!™ is also sold in 25 feet hanks here.

  • Weight: 105 grams per 180 ft. spool

Made with the strongest material on earth — Dyneema® — and a Samthane coating, Samson Amsteel® Rope resists abrasions and tension fatigue over the long-term. Despite its strength and laudable durability, Samson Amsteel® Rope is still light enough to float on water, increasing its versatility even more.

It makes great ridgelines, tie out lines, cloths line, we even ran a high line to hang our led light above out picnic table with it. As always, fast shipping!

Plenty strong and plenty longWe bought the spool because we wanted to make several different items and set ups for our tarps, bug nets and bear line. We also wanted to have some left over to make some for our hiking friends.

If you watch any hiking videos on YouTube, then you know that this is what all of the die hard ultralight backpackers use. That is how we heard about it and how we found our way to Dutch’s site. It is the gold standard.

One of the things we like the most about this is that it doesn’t get all tangled up like the paracord. We bought the yellow 1.75mm for the visibility and the size seemed to be the most common used in the videos. The 1.75mm feels like a custom fit for the Dutchware that we have purchased (Wasps, stingers, Dutch hooks and fleas).

We had fun crafting our Zingit into continuous loops, splicing in our hooks and stingers and finishing off the ends. There are some really easy to find videos on YouTube that walked us thru step by step on how to do it like the pros.

Bottom line is that this is strong, light weight, virtually tangle free and made our set upand take down 20 times faster. Oh and swear word free!

    Awesome Cord!

Excellent cord… Thin and light, super strong, knottable and spliceable. Works great with mini cord locks, ideal for stuff sack closures, guylines, stake tie-offs, keychains, soft shackles, you name it. The 1.75mm is the thinnest/strongest ‘string’ I have gotten my hands on, the 2.2 adds a little burl. Can practically replace any paracord project. Should have went for the bigger spools!

    Great Stuff!

I got some of this to use for ridgelines and a few other things. Great, strong stuff. One thing to be aware of is that it is rather slippery and some knots (like a taut-line hitch) don’t like to stay fixed. I would suggest getting tarp flies or wasps as they seem to hold it much better.

    Excellent cordage

I used this to make continuous ridgelines for my tarp and my two sons. I also made some whoopie slings with this for general use. This stuff is great in rough weather as it’s very strong and doesn’t stretch. It is a bear to splice and make into whoopie slings though. I was able to make two, but I wouldn’t recommend making whoopie slings out of this stuff, it’s just that difficult to run a tool up the center.

    Knot Practice

    onesoulonboard (verified owner)

I use it for my tarp ridgeline with Dutch’s cheater hook and bug for tree grabbing. Prussiks with figure eights to grip the D rings on the tarp complete it. I keep a bit of it in my pack with knot cards so that I don’t get out of practice because I started knot tieing late in life. Love the titanium bling on it.
