I used these stakes in the Dinkey lakes wilderness, and they preformed great!! The soil is very loose there and these stakes held without issue. Thanks Dutch!!

    Question

This is not a dig, but a serious question. Is there something inherently better about these compared to say using a titanium shepherd’s hook or my carbon fiber stakes with fleaz spliced on with Zing-it or Reflect it? From strictly a weght perspective, my current stake/fleaz combo weigh about 8 grams each, while these in aluminum or titanium come in at 12.7 or 14.5 grams respectively.

  4. Question

    tbrown

The text says the Ti weigh 14.5 g, but the weight field right above the Add to Cart button says 10.1 g. Which is correct? Thank you!

    Question

    Andy Norris

Does titanium bend? For example if you had some rocky terrain and needed to use a rock to pound in, will it bend?

These titanium stakes shouldn’t bend under most conditions, but they can bend under extreme conditions.

    Fantastic

I bought the titanium ones. I’ve used them in different soils without issues. They make deploying a tarp quick and easy. Only stake I use anymore.

  7. Question

    Jonathan Helms (verified owner)

I know the minimum recommended rope size is 1.75mm but will it still work with a smaller diameter rope such as the 1.3mm Dutch Cord? I have been using these with some 2mm sized reflective cord and would really like to use a smaller diameter to save some weight.
