The .344 pole is most commonly used for Pole mods on tarps. These are the pole tips inserted into the ends to connect your poles to your pull outs and only weigh 3.17 grams each. There is a hole on the one end to connect shcok cord and the business end has a 1/4 inch diameter tip with a 1/16 inch undercut. The typical pole mod uses three .344 Male Poles, One .344 Female poles, Two .344 Pole Tips, and some 3/32 shock cord for each pole asembly. These pole tips are Made in America

What is the best size grommet for these .344 pole tips? I was thinking 3/8″, but wanted to make sure before I buy the Grommet Installation Kit and start punching holes.

The tip on the end of the pole is 1/4 inch so 3/8th works well.
